AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
The Automotive Technology Program is one of only three such programs in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Upon graduation, students are ready for entry level positions in the automotive industry. Most students, however, elect to continue their post-secondary education at community colleges that offer advanced automotive technology coursework. ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY - Two-year early college program designed to support the higher ed opportunities of students interested in AA degrees in CAD, Architecture, and Manufacturing/Mechanical. Completion of both years will result in 15 free credits earned through BTC.
INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY - Two -year early college program designed to support the higher ed opportunities of students interested in AA degrees in Instrumentation & Controls, Industrial Electrical, Photovoltaic Tech. Early College Program at Maple Woods. Students can earn an AA prior to the start of their “freshman” year of college. Students earn college credit through a combination of AP, Staley dual credit courses, and MW courses on Campus. Students must begin working toward the AA while a freshman. Students are also able to earn a General Ed certificate from MW. AP grades are posted as course/grades to an MCC transcript.
