Scholarship Spotlight
EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AWARDS - THE CHAMBER'S CHOICE 
DUE:  Feb 3, 2014                                                                                                                  
AMOUNT:  Varies 
DETAILS:   Open to all Oak Park High School seniors.   Applicants should be active in school, 
work and community, and have financial need.  APPLICATION AVAILABLE HERE.  This 
scholarship requires applicants to submit a head shot photo (jpeg format).  Please email your photo 
to Mrs. Dameron at: ldameron@nkcschools.org. Submit completed applications to the Oak Park 
counseling center.

All Students:
JANUARY 22nd 6-8pm Curriculum & Activities Fair
An informational night regarding course offerings, clubs, activities, and athletics. Staff will be 
available to discuss course offerings available for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. We will also 
be hosting several breakout sessions throughout the evening, which will provide beneficial 
information.

We will also have information from our outside programs such as Northland Career Center, Cerner 
Scholars, Northland Center for Advance Professional Studies, Business & Technology Center, and 
Career & Technology Education Center. 

TUTORING is now offered EVERY TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY, right after school in the 
LMC at 2:30 until 4:30. Transportation is provided.

Juniors:
Enrollment for 2014-2015 school year begins Thursday! All students should have their personal plan 
of study & should work on their course requests over the weekend.
Seniors:
What are your post-graduation plans? Mrs. Johnsen wants to know the places you will go! Come by 
the counseling office during lunch to get a “foot” for the bulletin board.
