Sophomores & Juniors
NKC Schools is partnering with Northland Advanced Career Studies (NACS) to offer a  program that 
allows junior and senior students (in the 13-14 school year) to spend half of their school day at Oak Park and 
half the day at one of 3 local businesses depending on the future career track students are interested in 
pursuing. For Advanced Manufacturing students are placed at Ford, Computing and Technology students are 
placed at Cerner and Health Care students are placed at North Kansas City Hospital.  Students learn 
through a combination of classroom instruction and project work.  Please see the attached brochure for 
additional information. If your student is interested in learning more about these programs, please contact the 
counseling office as soon as possible.
