BOYS STATE & GIRLS STATE INFORMATION:
Your Junior summer is a great chance to try something new and meaningful as you plan your senior 
year and begin college planning.
I wanted you to have the information for a terrific opportunity: Girls State and Boys State.

Girls State: http://missourigirlsstate.org

The Dates for Boys state are June 15-22 and Girls State is June 23-29.
Both take place at the University of Central Missouri-Warrensburg.
This weeklong camp is a wonderful leadership program. 
Girls state and Boys state offers opportunities in many areas besides student government. They have 
their own newspaper. Students form cities and make laws. You have the opportunity to meet others 
from around Missouri. 
If you are interested in applying to Girls State pick up an application in the counseling office.
If you are interested in Boys State pick up a pass in the counseling office so you can attend an 
informational meeting on February 8th at 1:00.
There is a selection process for Boys State and Girls State. There is no charge to the participants that 
are chosen to attend.

Also, if you are Junior and you are considering Pre-Med please consider attending Mizzou's Mini 
Med School.
This one week camp provides hands on opportunities on the Mizzou medical school's campus.
You can apply for either session.
