Seniors~ * Maplewoods enrollment staff and advisors will be at Oak Park on Monday, May 13 to enroll students for the Fall Semester. If you are going to attend Maplewoods or one of the other Metropolitan Community Colleges in the Fall and have applied and been accepted, please sign up for an enrollment time through Mrs. Johnsen in the counseling office Session times are: 7:30 a.m,.9:30 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. Information to bring with you – MCC ID# and Social Security number. * Seniors who have not cleared obligations by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 15 will not receive their diploma at graduation. If you are not sure if your student has an obligation, please have them check with Mrs. Adams in the main office. A list of seniors with obligations will be posted outside of the main theater immediately following graduation practice on Tuesday, May 14. Mrs. Adams will be collecting obligations at that time as well. Payments must be made by cash or money order. Personal checks will not be accepted. Juniors~ * Summer is a great opportunity to earn A+ Hours, see Mrs. Long to get started! * CORNELL University is hosting The Engineering Diversity Hosting Weekend (EDHW) and The Women in Engineering Program (WIE), take place September 26 – 28, 2013 and will provide students with an inside view into life as a Cornell Engineer. Fall EDHW is a co-ed program that focuses on students who identify with backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in engineering (African American/Black, Latino/a, and Native American), while the focus of Fall WIE is on the experience of women engineers at Cornell. Funding is available for students who may need support with travel expenses to/from the program(s). To be considered for the program(s), the following information should be received in our office by the July 15, 2013 deadline: Completed application, which includes a complete junior year transcript: o Fall Engineering Diversity Hosting Weekend: www.engineering.cornell.edu/falldhw o Fall Women in Engineering Program: www.engineering.cornell.edu/wieprogram Decisions will be made on a rolling basis during June/July/August.
